Last month we had a surgical procedure in the O.R. that demonstrated Christine's DAISY qualities. The procedure was smooth until the team was ready to reverse the OR medication, and the patient experienced an untoward effect that caused the patient to cardiac arrest. Christine immediately assessed and responded accurately to the situation. She was efficient, organized, and supplied the team with the necessary life- saving equipment. The end result the patient was quickly resuscitated and recovered. By the next day, the patient was sitting up with no complaints.

During this chaotic moment Christine portrayed a calm and collected leadership of the room and the events. She was very impressive. She inquired about the patient the following days and even visited them in the ICU. She is always full of energy and has a positive attitude. I have witnessed her many times encouraging and supporting the other staff. She is an ideal candidate to receive the DAISY Award.
