A very sick and confused elderly patient was about to be taken to the OR. There was no family at the bedside, but they had requested a chaplain to come and give the patient last rights before surgery just in case. There was no chaplain available, so Chris came in and held the patient's hand and prayed with him. This was the only moment of the whole night that the patient was calm and seemed at peace. This was such a comforting gesture by Chris which went a long way for this elderly patient who must have been feeling terrified.
