Christopher Carpenter, RN

A recent patient was being seen at the outpatient clinic. She stopped me to thank me for the care she received. She stated that she had many staff members who provided exceptional care. She stated that there was one nurse who really made a difference in her 6-week stay, and that was Chris. She said that he used his own story to relate to her and that it was done in a genuine and non-pushy way. She said that he made a comment that “your burns are not you,” and that comment really resonated with her. She said that Chris also used humor to relate to her and he really helped her throughout her stay. She wanted Chris to know that he truly made a difference and that his care was exceptional.
