I knew the minute Chris was hired on our floor that he embodied all the qualities that make for a fantastic nurse. He is kind, considerate and will go the extra mile for his co-workers and his patients. I saw his careful handling of the patient mentioned in the enclosed letter. He is the kind of nurse I would like to have care for me one day, and that says a lot coming from another nurse with high expectations. Please consider this exceptional nurse for the DAISY award. He truly deserves it.


Below is the letter sent to Ms. Cathy Buck, President of Froedtert Hospital, from a patient's family member:


My ninety three year old mother was a patient at Froedtert for the past six days. She was released yesterday and moved to a sub-acute unit in West Bend.

I wanted to take this time to give a big shout out to Chris Krupkowski. What a wonderful, caring young man and an outstanding nurse. He treated my mother with the utmost respect and care the entire time she was there. He went out of his way many times to make sure she was comfortable and cared for. My family was so appreciative that he took such an interest in helping our mother get back on her feet and into sub-acute care.

I wanted you to know that you have an outstanding nurse who cares greatly for his patients. He truly made my mother's stay in the hospital outstanding.
