In recent months, I've been fortunate to have been the recipient of excellent medical care from the Ascension Medical Group's Wound Care. I have only accolades for everyone working in this department. There, however, is one nurse who stands out, and that is Christopher in Wound Care.

Upon my arrival in his unit, I was immediately made to feel comfortable, even after seeing my huge, ugly wound. His body language said, "We can do this!" His quiet demeanor, attentiveness, compassion, and being extremely gentle when cleaning the area around the wound, along with being completely focused upon me and my reactions, all led me to feel confident and secure.

Chris is so knowledgeable that even when working with other PA's, they rarely had to ask for anything, for he was a step ahead of anticipating what they needed. In summary Chris is the perfect nurse: his caring sense of humor as evidenced when I burst out in laughter when he bathed the bottom of my foot, extreme patience, kindness, consideration, tolerance, professionalism at all times, his showing of respect for his patients and lastly following his mantra of "Do unto others."
