The dignity Chris allowed me to keep when he did the examination for admitting me to the hospital was that of a compassionate human being.
It was the scariest day of my life. I couldn't breathe. In walks an angel. All of the fear I had vanished. Chris's gentle voice and patient nature put me at ease, as he explained that he needed to examine me and ask me some questions. The dignity he allowed me to keep when he did the examination for admitting me to the hospital was that of a compassionate human being. I felt safe and knew he was there to help me get well.

I was taken to the emergency room. I had retained a large amount of fluid, which made it very difficult to breathe. Chris visited with me for 15 to 20 minutes even though I could see he was physically exhausted. He told me to "keep up the good work and he hoped that I would not have to come back again". Chris is a DAISY Nurse because his patients are his first priority.
