I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional compassion and care that Christopher Zengel consistently demonstrates as a nurse at Dell Children's North Hospital. Christopher's dedication to patient well-being is truly inspiring, and I wanted to bring attention to their positive impact on patient's and staff members. Christopher's positive attitude and unwavering dedication is truly remarkable, it truly makes a huge impact on the parents and patient's going through a rough time, creating a calm and supportive environment.

I have recently witnessed Christopher, go above and beyond to help a father of a patient who was waiting in our Emergency Department lobby who had a newborn baby with him. The father needed to take an item back to the mother of a patient who was currently in an ED Room, when Christopher offered to watch the baby for a brief second while he went back. Christopher took the time to rock the baby to sleep while it was crying in its carrier, as well as give the father some helpful advice that he has learned as a father that helped him take care of his kids.

Christopher has also been witnessed constantly when working as the ED Triage Nurse, to always find a way to help kids who are struggling with the check in process, by going above and beyond in using his fatherly tactics to interact with the kids. From making making mickey mouse character voices, to giving them stickers, to making jokes, talking to them about their favorite superheroes, or just comforting them with his words, Christopher is able to always find a way to make the parents and patients feel at ease during hard times. Christopher is a valuable asset to our team, and their compassionate nature makes a real difference in the lives of our patients and parents.
