November 2020 Honoree
christy barrett, RN
As can be assumed, I was very anxious about having surgery. Especially knowing that I am very claustrophobic and had a bad experience during a previous surgery when the mask was placed firmly over my mouth and nose. Christy was so very nice when she came into my pre-op room and made me feel comfortable and introduced herself. I told her my story and she said she would stand by my side until I was asleep. She shared this with the anesthesiologist, also. Long story short, I was able to approach my surgery with no apprehension. I would also like to thank all the members of the team who attended to me and made me comfortable.
Thank you, Christy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
