Besides being an exceptional and supportive charge nurse, Christy is a great team player. This Sunday she came in at 3 am to start her shift because the unit was so short. Not once have I heard her complain about being tired or be anything but helpful and available. The unit has been crazy today and when one of our patients had surgery and then passed away, Christy's first thought (after concern for the family) was how to support the staff. She went around with coffee cards and checked in with everyone. She begins the shift each day with a great attitude and tries to always be available and helpful. She is an exceptional leader, charge nurse, and co-worker.
