We would like to send our sincerest gratitude to Christy Cimino RN as the attending nurse for J's surgery. Not only was she outstanding in her medical duties as being his nurse, but she went above and beyond with the care and consideration she provided for J. She stayed with him after the surgery constantly, helping him to regain his strength and helping him to calm down, and get his breath capacity and oxygen back up to a safe level. At no point did she seem aggravated or uneasy during the recovery process, which was far longer than anyone expected before or after his procedure. It was her pleasant demeanor and helpful assistance that provided J the comfort during this uneasy time to focus and complete the breathing exercise that Ms. Cimino was showing him. We truly believe that without her specific help, coupled with her genuine care for J as her patient, the outcome of this procedure could have ended very differently. We cannot thank Christy Cimino enough for all that she has done for J and his entire family. Ms. Cimino is an asset to your hospital, and to all patients that are lucky and blessed enough to have her on their team.
