She is so genuine, you can feel it, and it gives me peace. It means everything to a patient who is full of fear, anxiety, and concerns.
There is no way to put in words the true concern, professionalism, kindness, greatness, soothing, reassuring, easing patients’ minds with her great spirit and smile. She is so genuine, you can feel it, and it gives me peace. It means everything to a patient who is full of fear, anxiety, and concerns. She goes not the extra mile, she goes to the needs of the patient with not stopping until she makes sure all questions are answered, even with doctors, she stands in the room to truly make sure the patient understands the treatment and why the medications and following instructions are important but making you feel at ease and confident with Love. This is more than I expected. She truly loves her career, it's part of her DNA to care for others, and so diligently with a passion of care and love that it’s felt. She brings joy even in the midst of pain, uncertainty, and fear. She brings the whole package of truly making you feel that this will too pass, and her love for God shows, and the way that she cares for you as a patient and has an individual human being, she deserves to be honored.
She deserves to be in a position where she's training other nurses. I have found myself in the hospital so many times due to being a cancer patient and I have never had a nurse like her. She simply goes above and beyond to show you love and concern. She should be training all the nurses who forgot about their field and why they got into it in the first place. You could tell she’s not in this field for the money but that she’s in this field because she cares and it shows in her actions and her words and her kindness and her meticulous way of checking on you so many times during the day. She connects and talks about her life, but about our lives, and it’s a bond with another human being allowing you to know that she truly cares, that you’re not just a number or room number and a hospital bed, but that you are human being that is worthy of kindness of respect of love. If I could give her an award, it would definitely be not only recognition with a plaque, but recognition with offering a position, she would be training many nurses and how to truly treat patients and how to truly treat their peers because as well as she treated me as a patient, I saw her treating her peers with so much love and respect coming in the room before she left, telling me I’ll see you tomorrow morning and explaining to the nurse coming on everything about me. I have not had a nurse like this ever. This to me was amazing. She didn’t care if a shift was over at 7 PM at 7 AM. She always left late came in early and still smiled. She made sure that I knew who was coming in to replace her, saying goodbye, smiling, and giving me reassurance.
