Our brother was hospitalized and dying of COVID-19 complications. Christy sat with him and used her personal phone so his daughter could "be" with her dad at his passing. We feel she exemplified the greatest service and mercy to both him and his daughter. In these extraordinary times, Christy showed love and faithfulness to her patient and our family. She demonstrates all that is good and noble about the nursing profession. Her kindness, gentleness, compassion, and understanding shows that this is truly a calling for her and not just a job. I can never express all of the reasons why Christy is so deserving of this award and I thank you for employing the type of nurse and great human being that Christy is. We will never forget her!
