A note to Christy:
Please accept my heartfelt thanks for your actions yesterday during your recovery shift at ASC. Your obvious caring and professional abilities shone through a difficult situation. You were caring and professional and were not willing to take no for an answer in making sure your patient received the best and most appropriate care they needed.
The social worker who attended the unit told me herself that your actions and compassion were probably directly connected to this young gentleman's reduced anxiety, his reduction in suicidal ideology and possible actions and simply by doing your job as an RN you may well have saved his life.
Please accept my gratitude on behalf of the department, the staff and the hospital as an entity for your caring and compassionate approach to you job; you are a wonderful example of what a Nurse and all Shannon employees should aspire to reach when acting in our patient advocacy role.
