While on the phone with a patient regarding his home medications, he began talking incoherently and was unable to answer her questions. Christy hung the phone up and called the wife's cell phone. The patient was in another room so the wife went to check on him. When the wife told Christy herhusbandwasn't making any sense, Christy reassured her and told the wife she was going to call an ambulance. The patient was transferred to the hospital and had had a stroke. Christy also took time the next day to go visit the patient.
