Christy is one of the most compassionate nurses I have ever worked with. I have witnessed Christy spend literally 4 hours on the phone trying to help a patient get set up with Maine Care. This particular patient had a very delicate situation in which he needed help setting things up in order to have access to services he desperately needed. Christy jumped through hoop after hoop for this patient and I was almost in tears by how amazed I was with her tenacity to help someone. She has shown this pure will to help others time and time again, and she deserves to be recognized. It is so easy, when we as nurses are busy with our own tasks, to then add on a non-compulsory task that would take a lot of time and energy. Christy does this DAILY! She is a true DAISY Nurse.
