Christy did an amazing job taking care of our son. He was in the NICU for three months and we had a lot of questions. She was always patient, thorough, and compassionate. She got to know us as people and went above and beyond to connect with us as anxious new parents. She continuously would point out the positive steps of this up-and-down journey to help us when things seemed slow to progress. Each hurdle we had to overcome she encouraged us. Her knowledge and experience made us feel comfortable leaving our son in her hands.

My son received excellent care, and we received excellent explanations of the process. Christy checked in on our son even when she wasn’t his nurse because she truly cared! She advocated for us when we needed it and that means a lot!

We are so happy our paths crossed during this time, even if she doesn’t like the Raiders!

 Christy is the superhero of Sanford’s NICU. She has demonstrated her excellence through her clinical care and has shown her expertise in care in a loving and caring manner. By doing these things she has become a second family to us. Forming this close relationship made us more comfortable and made our stay easier over the past three months. Anytime Christy had charting to do, my daughter would be in her arms getting extra snuggles, which was very much appreciated.

She took the time to show me and her father how to know our daughter's breathing and how to pace her while bottling. She treated my daughter like one of her own. We have had a variety of nurses and Christy is very confident in how she does her job. For example, she didn’t have to ask us about certain cares my daughter was supposed to be getting. She knew her stuff before walking into the room. We are extremely grateful that we have had Christy numerous times during our long three-month stay. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Every little precious one needs a Christy in their life.
