After her shift began it became very clear that she absolutely loves her job and her patients.
Anytime my husband needed anything, Christy was in the room within minutes. She could look at my husband and know what he needed before we could say anything.
However, what impressed us the most is when the doctor stopped by and stated that we could go home later in the afternoon, my husband wasn't sure he should be discharged that day because he did not feel well and kept saying, "I don't know what it is, but I don't feel right."
Christy came into the room saw the concern on my husband's face, talked with my husband and called the doctor for us. Christy came back in the room, sat down face to face with my husband and stated the doctor agreed for my husband to stay.
Christy showed such kindness towards my husband. She let him know that she heard him, she cared about his feelings, however; she told him what he needed to do to get better.
We can never say enough about this RN who gave herself to be thoughtful, caring, kind and considerate.
Christy has the personality to light up the 7th floor West.
Way to go Rex for having such a great nurse.
