I have observed Christy doing many things for our patients and families that go over and above her job duties. She has taken patient's dirty laundry home and washed it; she has gone out and purchased special food for our patients undergoing chemotherapy; and she consistently makes sure our patients are comfortable and have everything they need at the end of her shift. Christy is conscious about safety and frequently make suggestions on how things can make our unit better. Anyone that knows Christy will say, she is a compassionate nurse and always advocates for the patient. She is truly deserving of this DAISY Award.
