As a coworker, I have had the privilege of working with Christy for the past four years. She always steps-up to any and every challenge presented to her on the unit. She assists the PCTs with the first round of vital signs to enable the PCT to proceed efficiently to their other tasks.
Christy always assists with admits and home medication updates. Her critical care knowledge makes her the best charge nurse ever. Christy assists the clinical director with balancing the schedules to ensure staffing coverage for the unit even at sacrificing her own time off.
On a difficult admit, the patient was experiencing health issues with multiple physicians on the floor with orders; I was struggling to keep up. After taking her report, Christy stepped in and provided me with the assistance I needed to transition this admit to the waiting OR. Christy is an exemplary employee.
