June 2021 Honoree
Chrysoula Tsangarinos, RN
Chrysoula immediately recognized stroke symptoms on her patient and initiated a code stroke. The patient ended up getting TPA but had an initial reaction. She immediately called a code "TPA" to assess whether or not the patient was bleeding. A bleed was ruled out but the patient had a large vessel occlusion and was subsequently transferred for surgery. This is one of many examples of Chrysoula being a caring, compassionate nurse and advocating for her patients. I have witnessed it first hand on multiple occasions.
Thank you, Chrysoula, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
