I received a call from an outside observer who's primary purpose here
was to assess another client for a SNF unit. While in the acute care
area, Ms. Jennifer Griffin, observed a nurse providing care for a
bedridden client who is unable to communicate or respond to us in any
way, doing what Jennifer describes as providing extraordinary care. Ms.
Griffin stated, " The nurse was so very gentle and explained every
detail of the nursing care that was being provided for her to the
patient, although, the patient could not respond. Her compassion and
kindness was very evident by the very fact that she spoke to the patient
explaining all procedures and what they were doing no matter how small
the task. She provided privacy with the curtain and maintained
professionalism that is to be commended. I thought you should know
this, since, I am sure that she was not aware of my presence, yet, she
gave outstanding care. This is where it counts when you are not aware
you are being watched. Please praise Crystal for her nursing practice
and compassionate attitude. All I can say is WOW!!!!"
