Chuck Floyd is the most compassionate nurse I have ever worked with. He is loved by all his patients, their families, and the staff he works with.

We recently had a patient with an infection and who was in the hospital for 28 days. He was depressed and bored and feeling terrible. Chuck was able to connect with the patient and his family in a way that totally changed their outlook about the situation. He gave them hope through the care he provided. Soon the patient was laughing, smiling and believing he would recover and go home. The family members brought Chuck gifts and have even asked him to come to their Thanksgiving Dinner. They said they feel like they have a new family member in Chuck.

Chuck has this affect on all his patients and also on the staff around him. In addition to all this he is an excellent clinician. Chuck has a natural gift for compassion. This is one of the many stories we have about Chuck; we are truly blessed to have such a colleague. He deserves recognition for all he does for his patients.
