Her simple touch on my Mother's back and hands had a big impact on my mom; my mom felt relief if Ms. Churchill was at her side.
Ms. Churchill is one of the most recognized staff members not only based on my observations but also from the feedback of some patients and relatives.
One day during my managerial rounds, there was one patient in the VIP room who really appreciated her service. Not only the patient but also the relatives. The patient and relatives claimed that they have been in so many Hospitals around Saudi Arabia and the only excellent service of staffs are here in King Saud Medical City. The patient was admitted to the VIP room & and according to her, all the staff assigned to her are all doing well, but Ms. Churchill marks her heart and mind because she is a compassionate nurse and really caring. During the evening shift, when Ms. Churchill was on duty, the patient was in pain and still persisted even though she received a painkiller; Ms. Churchill kept on visiting and reassuring the patient despite being busy due to a shortage of staff. “Her simple touch on my Mother's back and hands had a big impact on my mom; my mom felt relief if Ms. Churchill was at her side,” as verbalized by the watcher during my managerial rounds.
This patient and the relatives also requested to talk to our DON or Idarra just to say how satisfied they are with their stay in our unit during the times that the patient was really sick.
Ms. Churchill is also a member of NUBC and is very active in her position. If the chairman or co-chairman is not around, she is very flexible and ready to cover the post.
Being a staff nurse, she is very competent and one of the most reliable people that you can ask for help or any clarifications regarding a patient's condition. She is also capable to do post of being a Charge Nurse. She has potential to be a charge nurse as what she shown during days that we have shortage staffs and the Charge Nurse on duty is busy, she is the one will follow up things needed to her patient and other staffs.
Ms. Churchill is a small lady and very quiet, but she is also considerate of the needs of her colleagues when they need assistance. She promotes a positive attitude and enthusiasm with other staff nurses during working hours.
Ms. Churchill is extremely dedicated to her job. She wants to be able to truly make a difference in people’s lives for as long as she possibly can. I recommend her completely because I believe in her ability to be the best of the best in her profession.
