My son is 15 years old and has been hospitalized for over 4 weeks. He has received excellent care from all the nurses, but one nurse, Chyna, made my son really smile the most. The first night they met they instantly clicked while talking about running. She made him feel safe and comfortable. She answered his questions and explained what was happening to him.
Over the course of these 30+ days, Chyna has advocated for him, collaborated with hospital staff and solved his concerns. His bed sores from the intensive care were addressed and she put a smile back on his face. He'd often say to me: "Mom, Chyna is here tonight. You don't have to sleep here tonight." As a mom, knowing Chyna, who showed competence, dedication, passion, and love for children makes us ever thankful! You're God's angel!
