Ciaran Dickenson, RN

I would like to nominate Ciaran for the compassionate care he provides to families, especially families whose children have special needs. At a recent MOCK SEND inspection, Ciaran was able to engage one of his mothers to participate in being interviewed by an inspector. The feedback about Ciaran was very humbling. The mother reported that Ciaran is ‘able to look at different solutions’ when looking after her child who has additional needs – this has been the case when other professionals have suggested options that haven’t always worked – Ciaran is able to look at these and think about where the family is in terms of care and what may meet the needs of the child. The parent was very positive about Ciaran – and this has been reflected by other feedback from families. Ciaran is hard-working and a valued member of both Team E and the wider team. His mental health background compliments the other skill sets within his team.
