cierra walker, RN

Today as I was walking down the hall completing my QI, I walked by Cierra's patient's room. I saw Cierra sitting on the floor on a play mat with these two babies. A set of twins both with tracheostomies and ventilators. Any nurse knows getting a baby with these complex medical needs out of bed is a difficult task, but sweet Cierra was sitting with both of them on the floor having storytime. The babies were happy and watching her read to them. Their parents likely never know about unseen moments like this during which their babies' nurse took extra time to play with them. Cierra is always pleasant and a joy to work with, especially on days like today when by chance I walked by to witness her going beyond just nursing care. She is also a great role model.
