Cindy Adams is a dedicated nurse and caregiver. I’d like to share the following example:
There was an elderly patient on her unit that lacked caregivers. The patient went on to tell Cindy that she would give anything to be able to eat some Krispy Kream donut holes! After Cindy’s shift was over she went straight to Krispy Kreme and brought the patient the donut holes she requested as well as two (2) dozen extra donuts for our entire team on the unit.
This same patient also needed assistance with her personal laundry. Cindy didn’t hesitate to take her personal items home to launder and bring them right back to the patient the next shift she worked.
When it came time for this patient to be discharged, she became distraught when she couldn’t find some of her personal garments. The Patient Service Association immediately contacted Cindy at home to assist in calming the patient over the phone. Next thing you know, Cindy is taking time on her day off to purchase the missing garments and delivering them to the patient before discharge.
These examples only serve to exemplify typical care that Cindy exhibits each and every day. She doesn’t hesitate to go above and beyond her duties to extend outstanding and compassionate care to her patients.
