My wife was in the hospital on ECMO life support awaiting a double lung transplant for five months, sadly she did not make it and passed away. I stayed there with her the entire time and the entire staff, doctors, nurses, receptionists, housekeepers, etc., all became like family to us. But Cindy stood out above all the rest, she pampered my wife and made her feel special all the time, always there with encouragement, information and/or just a smile to brighten my wife's day.
Cindy was even there when my wife passed away, supporting me in my darkest hour and made the trip to attend my wife's funeral. I still hear from her just to see how I am holding up almost daily. If this is not a testament to love, compassion, and nursing excellence, then I don't know what is. If I could I would nominate the entire CVICU if I could. Thank you!
