Cindy Bruce, BSN, RN

Cindy was very gentle in physical and emotional ways. She was humble (not above cleaning). She had empathy for me and "felt" my pain. Nurse Cindy was upbeat and positive in attitude. She has a peaceful center of being that would often smile at me, laugh freely, and share wisdom and talk stories of her personal life. She trusted that what I said to her was true with the light of truth revealing what darkness hides. She "shined a light" on me and encouraged me. She recognized my intelligence and sophistication as the wife of an administrator and my years teaching grades K-8. She understood that loss of health is grief as is loss of youth, vitality, memory, and ability. She is quiet and never stopped tidying, cleaning, or preparing things nicely for other staff. She is a sincere person - genuinely nice - waiting patiently for me in the bathroom. She worked quietly behind the scenes, never showboating. She listened and then DID something about what I needed. She is the backbone of the hospital that actually "loves" her patients. She was never arrogant or rude. She was funny and has a merry heart.
