Cindy is an exceptional nurse and a valued asset to the 3N staff. Not only does she expertly manage her patients' needs, but she is always willing to lend a hand to other 3N staff and residents. I have often witnessed residents ask for Cindy's assistance. Most times, these residents just need Cindy's help translating for Spanish-speaking patients, but at times these residents often call on Cindy to perform a task such as starting an IV or inserting an NG tube for patients who are not one of her assigned patients. Cindy will also help her fellow nurses by translating or starting an IV or drawing blood or inserting foleys and NG tubes whenever asked. Unfortunately, because Cindy is such a skilled and proficient nurse, Cindy often gets assigned critical patients awaiting an ICU bed. Cindy rarely complains and moves to get these patients into the appropriate units quickly. I believe that Cindy deserves the DAISY Award for all she does to make 3N great.
