It takes an extraordinary person to work in the NICU: a place where life and death hang in the balance for babies just entering the world. The NICU has become a second home to my family for over a week now. I have met some pretty wonderful nurses here, but none quite like Cindy. When I was getting discouraged about breastfeeding, she encouraged me and told me I could do it. When she learned that my son's formula was not found in stores, she made a special order so we could take some home with us to have. In one of our many conversations, I told her how I was saving Pamper Reward codes to get my boys a wagon. On a day she was off, I came to visit my son and there lay an envelope that had my name on the front. She had started collecting codes for me. These things I've mentioned may seem small to some, but they have touched my heart and made memories I will forever be grateful for. She has been such a blessing to our family.
