Cindy consistently goes above and beyond in her patient care. In addition, she communicates effectively with all staff members as well as patients. She has never asked anyone to do something that she wouldn't do herself. Cindy goes out of her way to help others. She truly is a pleasure to work with, and I know the patients benefit from her care.

Our floor typically receives a number of nursing home patients. On this particular day, Cindy was taking care of a patient who was a long term nursing home resident. The patient was feeling very anxious and depressed as a result of her condition. In an attempt to make the patient more relaxed, Cindy frequently went into the room just to talk to the patient about her circumstances, family, friends, etc. This seemed to calm the patient to an extent, but she was still very anxious. Cindy asked the patient if there was anything else that could be done to make her more comfortable. The patient stated that she would like help getting freshened up a bit. She not only gave the patient a bed bath, but she also shaved the woman's legs as well as washing and cutting her hair into the style she requested. The patient was thrilled, and stated that it was the best care she had ever received. This is just one example of the generous nature Cindy has towards the patients and her co-workers.
