Her dedication to her patients is matched only by her dedication to her students. She models empathy in every interaction, showing us how to treat people with dignity, respect, and humanity.
Mrs. Loeffler is an amazing clinical instructor who is always encouraging us to perform to our fullest potential and wants us to always exceed. She is always helpful and available when needed, cares about both the students and patients, and is calm and reassuring.
She never makes us feel like a burden or unintelligent when we ask questions, and she is very reassuring. So far, this has been the most wonderful clinical experience of my time at Shadyside SON. I greatly think she is the best instructor at the school.
She takes her time to teach, so well that you aren't even afraid to make a mistake. So encouraging, helpful, and compassionate. One of the only instructors.
She doesn’t just teach skills — she teaches purpose. Every clinical day, she creates an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and genuinely valued.
She meets each of us exactly where we are, offering patience when we’re uncertain, encouragement when we doubt ourselves, and wisdom that stays with us long after the shift ends.

Through her guidance, I’ve grown not only in competence but in confidence, and I’ve learned what it truly means to care for others. She has made a lasting impact on my education, my professional identity, and my heart.
For her unwavering commitment, her kindness, and the profound difference she makes every day, she is truly deserving of this DAISY Award.
