Cindy and her team continue to help us get patients home with their families
A team member wrote of Cindy Johnson:
I always joke with Cindy saying that she knows everything, but she really does! Every single call or meeting I am in with her she always knows what is going on! I truly admire her attention to detail and her ability to stay informed about every daily operation. Not only is Cindy reactive, but she is proactive. She anticipates issues before they even happen and has plans to prevent them! She is my spirit animal. Cindy demonstrates excellence every day! No matter the issue Cindy always has a solution.

Cindy and her team have been making subtle changes to our lengths of stay on a daily basis. Cindy is driving the initiatives for our ministry with our associates and our providers. We improve every month and are so proud of the work everyone is doing to move the dial. Cindy has been our go-to person when we have high census and challenges, especially in our Critical Care Unit to ensure we have the resources to care for the patients in our community. Cindy and her team have helped us behind the scenes every day. I want to reiterate, every day. Cindy and her team continue to help us get patients home with their families even on the weekend. Cindy has made herself available to our leadership to assist in ensuring every patient has a bed. Thank you Cindy.

Cindy is among the most dedicated and hardworking associates that any hospital could ever hope for. She cares deeply for not only the patients that are admitted here at the hospital but also the physicians that she works with and the staff in her department. She arrives early and stays late because she insists on the job being done, done right, and done completely. The passion that she has for the hospital, and the patients is contagious. It influences and feeds everyone around her. Case management is the "air traffic control" system of any hospital. So much depends on that function being coordinated and performed well. Cindy does it better than anyone I've ever worked with. She is an example for others to follow. LOS is lower this year than last year despite the difficulties with the pandemic increasing patient severity and making post-acute discharging an administrative nightmare. Cindy has found a way to pull the different functions involved with patient care and discharge planning together and generate a team that works extremely well together with aligned goals and priorities.
