I have to tell you about a tough-talking, extremely smart nurse named Cindy. I was admitted shaking like a leaf and honestly not knowing why. My brother-in-law is a neurologist and explained what he thought was wrong. It was difficult to accept his diagnosis, because of its nature. Cindy was very firm when helping me understand; she was very supportive. Cindy is lovingly amazing, and I appreciate her. She is The Best!

Cindy has a good attitude and she responds quickly when called. You can tell she cares about the people she is charged with watching over.

They say that laughter is the best medicine. Well, Cindy cracked me up! Her silly singing and little dancing were so fun. Her guiding me into taking off my “chonies” for a medical device to be applied ended up being all sorts of giggles. Anyway, she made me laugh which brightened my day.

Cindy was my nurse on day 2, the day I took a turn for the worst. Being a nurse myself, I was telling Cindy what I thought was wrong. She looked me straight in the eye and said, ‘Stop being a nurse, you are a patient, and I’ve got this!’ That sure made me sit up straight and follow all the directions she had for me. I appreciate her style. I also appreciate that underneath her exterior, there is a nurse with the biggest and most sensitive heart of anyone I know.
