Cindy Martz, RN in the NICU was nominated by parents of a premature infant that she had taken care of in 2009. The fact that the patient was in our facility longer than two years ago, shows was an impact nurses make in the lives of others. As stated in the nomination, she willingly gave such caring, support, and education that the parents were able to leave the hospital at night, knowing that their child was in the best place possible. Recognition was give to all of NICU staff for the compassion and professionalism that was beyond imagination.
