Cindy Moore, RN
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the care I received from Jessica during my stay at Saint Agnes Hospital. She was a phenomenal nurse that expressed her concern for my well-being as a patient. We all know being sick can be a stressful experience. I felt that I would be well cared for from the time she walked in my room.
She introduced herself as my nurse. She went to the board in my room to put her name and information there for me to see to include her team manager. She asked how I was feeling and started a conversation about what I was experiencing. She changed my bed, adjusted my pillows and blankets to assure I was comfortable. She also got me a cold drink (she noticed I didn't have anything to drink at the time).
Although she was busy, she would stop through to check on me. I asked her how long she had been a nurse because she demonstrated the way a caring nurse treats her patients. She demonstrated genuine compassion. She is an asset to your nursing staff and is an example of what true healthcare looks like.
Please share this letter with her to let her know how much she was appreciated and place it in her file. She deserves recognition.

My father was admitted to the 4100 unit and then transferred to the IMC unit 2400. All the staff members we encountered met us with compassion, professionalism and care. As a nurse myself, I respected everyone's expertise, dedication in my father's care and their allowance for me to participate in his care. They allowed me to stay every night at his bedside and ensuring my comfort.
My dad's health deteriorated and a rapid response was called. I spoke with my father asking him of his wishes for full code or DNR, he stated he would like a DNR. I turned to Cindy Moore, RN asking how I can change his code status. She provided me with reassurance, support and most importantly a hug. When the team arrived I was able to verbalize my dad's wishes and it was received with respect.
My dad passed that evening with both my mom and I at his side. The nursing staff came in to give hugs, condolences and reassurance that we did the right thing for him. With the day shift and night shift nurses that cared for my dad they allowed me to participate in his post-mortem care. Although not per hospital policy, they allowed me to escort him to the morgue.
The team went above and beyond and they became part of our family. We could not have asked for a better experience in the final days with my Dad. He died with dignity thanks to the IMC staff. I want to say a special thank you to Cindy.

Cindy in the MICU unit was an incredibly compassionate and skilled caregiver to my father while he was in the MICU for radiation cystitis and complications related to prostate cancer. Cindy was his nurse for 3 of the 9 days he was at Saint Agnes. She was beyond attentive to my father's comfort and care during many long and painful days of procedures.
On one evening she went above and beyond, starting a blood transfusion just before change of shift and staying well beyond shift change to attend to the transfusion and his transfer of care. Because it was ordered late in the day, she could have left the transfusions to the night team, but was concerned for his blood pressure and opted to expedite the treatment at the expense of her personal time.
We met several lovely nurses and techs while on the floor, but we are particularly grateful for Cindy's kindness and professional care while my father was in MICU. Thank you, Cindy!
