December 2025 Honoree
Cindy Morrow, RN
Cindy was in a patient’s home with her new hire Orientee when the patient began to decline during the visit. Cindy automatically went into action, prompting the Orientee to call 911 while she attended to the patient. EMS came to the home and stabilized the patient, but the patient was unable to afford the ambulance trip to the Hospital as they had incurred a charge the last time they used the ambulance service, so Cindy, along with the Orientee, waited until the patient’s daughter could come to the home and safely transport the patient to the hospital. This was done all while mentoring and precepting a new hire, illustrating BayCare Values and an example of using critical thinking skills to save the patient from potential harm.
Thank you, Cindy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
