What should a nursing manager look like? Easy, Cindy Parrott. Though the last couple of years things have been ever-changing and challenging, through it all, we have had a manager be right there with us. When surgical services became Med/Surg, Cindy took shifts with us. She encouraged us to step up for our community and led by example by getting into the middle of it WITH us. She has counseled us and helped us obtain the resources we needed both professionally and personally. We have all had our season changes and changing circumstances to deal with, and she hears them, responds to them, and helps find solutions with us. Her patient and family care are excellent. She can and does diffuse less than ideal situations for patients and/or their families. Truly with several years of experience less than other managers, Cindy is above and beyond in her scope of practice daily.
