Cindy Roberts is an incredibly caring and compassionate nurse and friend. She is 100% dedicated to the profession of nursing and to her patients. During this very difficult time of the global pandemic, Cindy has truly gone above and beyond to help brighten the day of a fellow coworker. One of our PCTs turned new nurse graduate from PCU got the sad news that they would be canceling her pinning ceremony due to COVID-19 precautions. Cindy took it upon herself to plan and beautifully execute a pinning ceremony in the meditation garden at St. Francis. The ceremony included flowers, personalized programs, cupcakes, bubbly (sparkling cider), her family and friends, and even a surprise guest to perform the pinning, our VP of nursing came out to pin her! Cindy even called one of her TTC instructors came to speak. Her manager on PCU was there to welcome the ceremony with a lovely speech. An RN and coworker from the night shift beautifully shared her stories of the new nurse. We all toasted her under the oaks and it was even photographed! All of this was lovingly orchestrated by Cindy Roberts. Without her thoughtful care and diligent efforts, none of this would have come true. Our new nurse was able to share such a beautiful ceremony with her family and coworkers (who all showed up in droves) thanks to one of St. Francis Hospital's most dedicated nurses.
