Cindy has gone above and beyond many times for us. Today she came down to X-ray where my husband was and waited for him to get his X-ray, then took him to a quiet spot and got his blood drawn so it could be processed while we went on to our other appointments.
When he got his port put in, the OMU nurse called up to Cindy about the port and my husband's schedule. She took the time to come down and see how he was doing and work together with the OMU nurse as to what would be best for the next day. She is always kind, caring, and very helpful. She makes sure we are well taken care of. Also, she thinks ahead, like replenishing his platelets and when he might need extra like when he had the port put in.
Cindy works well with the Hematology Team and knows him well enough to recognize that his platelets can drop fast. She understands him and his situation and works with the team to do what is best for him!
