Cindy took a very upsetting situation and made things so much better just with her empathy and concern.
Our journey at Mayo Clinic/Hospital began with our surgeon, and she led us through the path of doctors and specialists in our journey to get better. I use the terms our and we because we all know when sickness comes to one, it affects the whole family. They say it takes a village to raise a child. Well, at Mayo Clinic, there was a village of caretakers to take care of my family and me and guide us through our process. Along the way, we met so many incredible healthcare workers who were very professional, caring, and concerned. The portal was such a good tool to keep in touch with the care teams, and it was easy to navigate. We used the different facilities and many doctors and services from the best of surgeons, all the way through the system including the cafeteria, pharmacy and gift shop.

Cindy, an RN in the Gastroenterology Department recovery area, even took time to visit us after her shift in our room. She took a very upsetting situation and made things so much better just with her empathy and concern. The team of surgeons who worked with my doctor followed me through my recovery to make sure I received the care I needed, even outside their specialties. I always felt I was in good hands in each department that helped me. There were so many. I have included some photos of the many professionals that made a difference in my life, and I want to thank them all.
