She is an Angel on earth and the golden standard of what a nurse should be. Thank youm Cinthya!
I am a 24-year-old female who has a rare metabolic disorder called acute intermittent porphyria. I am frequently in and out of this exact hospital for acute attacks. When I experience a flare-up, I have raging constant abdominal pain with nausea and vomiting. I have to constantly be on top of my pain control to not let it exacerbate my other symptoms. I am constantly seen and labeled as a drug seeker with the majority of the medical staff judging first and researching second. This was not the case with Cinthya.
The first day I had Cinthya as my nurse she made it a point to constantly check up on the level of pain. She did not once judge or question whether the pain level I stated was factual or not. Cinthya went home that same night and came back the next morning shift with a million questions about my disease. She went home and researched my illness to better take care of me. She advocated for me more than any nurse ever has. She is an Angel on earth and the golden standard of what a nurse should be. Thank youm Cinthya!
