Claire automatically stepped in and cared for E like she was her own daughter.
My daughter was rushed to Nottingham Queens Medical Centre after suffering a 2-hour seizure in Coventry; after 48 hours in intensive care, she was moved to ward E40 to continue treatment. After being on the ward one night, E had more than 15 seizures. It was handed over on the ward, and Claire automatically stepped in and cared for E like she was her own daughter. It was incredible how professional but calming she was, and it instantly put me at ease.

I was a long way from home and scared for my daughter’s life, but I felt calmed by Claire; she talked me through everything that was happening and what would happen if the treatment given didn't take effect. She got my daughter's seizures under control and then sat with her all night between caring for her other patients so that I could get some sleep, as I had not had very much in the week and a half while I was in hospital. Thank you, Claire, from the bottom of my heart. You are amazing, truly amazing!
