I used to work with Claire and she is an amazing, kind, person-centered nurse. She is an end of life care nurse at LTHT and her dedication to improving Eolc for everyone is inspiring. She is unassuming and never expects or asks for credit. But I think it is about time she had something to recognise all she does. She works incredibly hard, often going above and beyond. She works collaboratively across all the CSUs, the Trust, the community, hospices, charities, and nationally. She has been instrumental in implementing the comfort care packs in the Trust for relatives, including getting the project off the ground, applying for funding (which we know is no mean feat!), and rolling it out across the whole Trust. This is just one example of many. She understands it is the little things that can make the biggest difference. She has the eye for detail and is meticulous in bringing about positive changes. She sees people at their darkest hours and her support is pivotal. She is always there to support other nurses, doctors, and HCPs and empowers them to be able to deliver the best Eolc possible. She is a star and a true DAISY Nurse.
