Claire's follow-up with medications and patience in answering my questions was a relief to me not knowing what was happening to me.
When I called the office of my cardiologist at 9 am because I was not feeling well, his office appointment scheduling person immediately gave me an appointment for 12:15 that day and as a result felt that I should be admitted through the ER room. He called ahead, I drove my car over and a wonderful valet wheeled me in and parked my car. With the efficiency of the ER, I was admitted by 5 pm. The night passes slowly and efficiently and on Saturday morning shift I met Claire, the nurse assigned to me. Her appearance and warm shining face took over and I was relieved of the tension and anxiety I was feeling.
As she took over and as the day progressed and as she performed her duties there were pleasant conversations that we shared about her job and her family. As we spoke I wondered how could a mother of 3 teens be so comforting and efficient at work after spending the early morning tending to her children. Among the many patients she had assigned to her she responded immediately to the medical issues that plagued me. Inserting IVs into my veins is not an easy task but for her, it was a "snap". Her follow-up with medications and patience in answering my questions was a relief to me not knowing what was happening to me. She printed out information about the TAVR procedure. I was frightened and she reassured me of the Doctors who were performing the procedure. You have a "gem" working for you. As an extra comment, I want to say the entire staff assigned to this area have been a support to each other and your patients.
P.S. the food was also very good.
