Claire Schott was nominated by a family who describes her as "truly one of a kind." The challenges of cancer treatment are difficult for any family and even greater for families who live three hours away. Claire worked with this family, which included a 1-year-old baby, to help them find an affordable place to stay during the patient's hospitalization at Franciscan. She even went the extra step of organizing a baby shower for them since they would not be home for the shower their friends planned. The nomination ended with this comment:
