Claire Van Schyndel, RN
I had the opportunity to have Claire as my nurse for a couple of days. Immediately upon introducing herself, I felt such a comfort and knew I’d be taken care of.
Claire never let her expression know if she was busy or overwhelmed with her workload. Her compassion for patient care is beyond her years. Claire was always anticipating my needs and always seemed to be a step ahead of me.
I am an RN of 30 years, but I was also an ill patient. Claire knew my nursing knowledge, but she still treated me as a patient with knowledge. She never assumed I knew what was happening. She took her time and ALWAYS explained every step she was about to do prior to doing it. She calmed me, reassured me, and made me feel a comfort I cannot express in words. Nursing is in her blood.
Claire is an outstanding nurse, and I feel she should be recognized for this. Thank you, Claire!
