Claire Vishnick, BSN, RN

In 2018, my husband celebrated his 80th birthday, then five weeks later, he was diagnosed with bladder cancer, followed by surgeries and six succeeding years of an emotional, physical, mental, spiritual, and even financial roller coaster ride. We found ourselves in the ED. One of our anointed angels that evening was Claire Vishnick. She was so kind and compassionate, and just when it was so desperately needed. We'd just come off an uphill climb of this health roller coaster only to be plunged right back into the depths of downhill. My husband and I have always said that we don't care about medical personnel's bedside manner as long as they know what they're doing medically! Well, Claire changed our minds by changing our hearts. She was so good at fulfilling her calling as a nurse as she cared for the body as well as the mind, spirit, and especially our emotions. How comforting to be wrapped in the angel wings of Claire! There is no way we could reciprocate all she did for us. May the Lord bless her!
