Our clinical nurse leaders are truly one of a kind. They assist in daily decision-making, managerial duties, patient placement, and emotional support to charge nurses and staff. The list goes on. Claire Zanco deserves recognition! I thank her constantly for her overwhelming support. She never hesitates to help the unit on busy days. She drops all her tasks to assist with c-sections, relieves nurses for lunch breaks, and orders lunch for the unit when the census is too high for an actual break. She will even admit a patient to L&D when I have no other choice. This weekend was extremely busy, and as always, she quickly changed into scrubs and jumped in to be a second nurse in a c-section when I didn't have a single free nurse. As a charge nurse, I face many tough decisions, and I am so thankful to have Claire in my corner. She truly cares about everyone in this unit, and I don't believe she has a mean bone in her body. Thank you so much for all you do! I could not do my job this well without you!
